Olukoyi charges F.G to establish the proposed F.C.E in his domain.

The Olukoyi of Ikoyi land in Isokan South local Council Development Area of Osun State, Oba Yisau Bantale Otunla, Kodaolu 1 and entire residents of the ancient town have strongly appealed to the Federal Government to site the proposed Federal College of Education that has just been approved by the Federal Government to the community.

The Olukoyi, made the appeal in a Press Statement issued and made available to Newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday.

Oba Otunla, argued that, Ikoyi happens to be the only Community in the State without the presence of Federal or State higher institutions of learning as the ancient town is peaceful and conducive for learning with law abiding people.

According to the statement, ” We want to place on record that, Ikoyi land has been marginalized completely in terms of presence of any government higher institution while the town is the best place for the proposed College as we have sufficient land and befitting structure to accommodate it”.

It will be recall that the federal government recently announced its readiness to establish Federal College of Education in six states of the federation in which Osun State is one of them.
